After spending the school year making plans, preparing music and fundraising, Northwestern College’s A cappella Choir will soon embark on its tour of Denmark and Sweden, May 17–29.
Northwestern College's music department will present concerts by the Women's Choir, Jazz Band and Symphonic Band April 22, 23 and 29, respectively.
Northwestern College’s A cappella Choir will perform its touring concert in Christ Chapel on Friday, March 18, at 7:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
The Northwestern College Symphonic Band will perform a concert Friday, Feb. 11, at 7:30 p.m. in Christ Chapel. The concert is free and open to the public. The concert’s theme—“The Water of Life”—is based upon Jesus’ words to the Samaritan woman in John 4:13-14.
The Northwestern College A cappella Choir is planning a concert tour and mission trip to Taiwan May 17 to 28. The 46-member ensemble will perform at a university, public schools, concert halls and churches. Joint performances with Taiwanese choirs are also on the itinerary.
The Northwestern College music department will present its annual Christmas Vespers concerts Saturday, Dec. 4, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 5, at 3 p.m. in Christ Chapel. The event is free and open to the public.
The Northwestern College Symphonic Band will present a celebration-themed concert on Friday, Nov. 5, and the Heritage Singers and Jazz Band will perform Friday, Nov. 12. Both events will be held at 7:30 p.m. in Christ Chapel and are free and open to the public.
Northwestern College will present the Music Department Showcase Concert on Saturday, Oct. 2, at 7:30 p.m. in Christ Chapel.
Ten Northwestern College professors will conduct research and pursue further study this summer with funding from the Northwestern College Scholarship Grants program.
The world-premiere performance of a piece for percussion ensemble and mixed choir will be one of the highlights of a Northwestern College concert on Friday, April 30.
