The Northwestern College music department will present its annual Christmas Vespers service on Saturday, Dec. 2, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 3, at 3 p.m. in Christ Chapel.

Corky Koerselman, instructor in music and director of alumni and parent relations at Northwestern College, will direct three honor choirs in November.

The Northwestern College Symphonic Band will present a concert focused on celebrating America and its military veterans, “Tis the Gift to be Free,” on Friday, Nov. 10, at 7:30 p.m. in Christ Chapel.

The Northwestern College Heritage Singers and Jazz Band will present a concert on Saturday, Nov. 11, at 7:30 p.m. in Christ Chapel.

Northwestern College music faculty and students will present a recital featuring the music of German composer Max Reger on Friday, Oct. 20, at 7:30 p.m. in Christ Chapel.

Several ensembles and student soloists will be featured at the Raider Days Concert on Saturday, Sept. 30.

Seven join Northwestern College faculty
Northwestern College welcomed seven new full-time faculty members with the start of classes this fall.

Daniel Huey, assistant professor of music at Northwestern College, has earned a doctorate in music theory from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

The Northwestern College Jazz Band and Percussion Ensemble will present a joint concert Friday, May 5, at 7:30 p.m. in Christ Chapel.

Northwestern College’s Symphonic Band will perform a concert in Christ Chapel on Friday, April 28, at 7:30 p.m.
