Athletic Training

Keep athletes in the action. Athletic trainers (ATs) serve athletes and many types of patients by assessing injuries and providing preventative, therapeutic or rehabilitative care. They build collaborative relationships with their clients, oftentimes positively impacting not only their playing or active time but their lives.

Athletic trainers are multi-skilled health care professionals who work in a variety of settings, including youth, high school, college/university and professional athletics; hospitals; physician practices and clinics; performing arts, commercial health departments; police and fire departments; and military organizations.

Northwestern's pre-athletic training courses are designed to prepare students for acceptance into a master's degree program in athletic training.
