Five join faculty
Five new hires have joined the ranks of Northwestern’s full-time faculty this fall, bringing with them advanced degrees from such institutions as Cal-Berkeley and Notre Dame.

Northwestern’s newest art professor, Emily Stokes, will display her work in the Te Paske Gallery Aug. 23 through Sept. 16.

Several area artists will exhibit works in Te Paske Art Gallery on Monday, July 25, as part of Summer Suites 2011, sponsored by the Orange City Arts Council.

Faculty awarded grants for scholarship
Nine Northwestern professors will conduct scholarship and research this summer with college funding.

Northwestern will offer a new minor in arts administration starting this fall.

Student artwork featured in juried exhibition
Northwestern’s Juried Student Art Exhibition will be on display in the Te Paske Gallery April 15 through May 11.

Anderson O’Brien Fine Art in Omaha will present an exhibition by Northwestern art professor Rein Vanderhill April 1–24.

Katie Erickson, a senior art major, will transform the college’s Te Paske Gallery through a fabric installation piece that will be on display March 30 through April 6.

Four art/graphic design majors will display their work March 18–25 in Te Paske Gallery.
