Alison Schutt of Alton, a graduating senior at Northwestern College, received Faculty Honors during the college’s commencement exercises on May 12.

A Northwestern College student has been selected as an associate editor for UReCA, the official undergraduate research and creative activity journal of the National Collegiate Honors Council.

The scholarly work of 93 Northwestern College undergraduate and graduate students will be on display during the college’s Celebration of Research on Thursday, April 12, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Rowenhorst Student Center.

Twenty-four Northwestern College academic programs are listed in the 2018 edition of Rugg’s Recommendations on the Colleges, a national guidebook that recommends specific college departments to prospective students.

Northwestern College students taking the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) this year scored in the 77th percentile, on average, besting the national average, which is the 50th percentile.

Dr. David Arnett, professor of chemistry at Northwestern College, has received a $121,825 grant from the Chemistry of Life Processes program of the National Science Foundation.

Northwestern profs awarded grants for summer scholarship
