Turnwall active in summer projects

Barbara Turnwall, assistant professor of English at Northwestern College, has been active in a variety of scholarly projects this summer.
She co-facilitated a workshop, "Hidden Depths," with Northwestern's Dr. Joonna Trapp at the Assembly on Extended Perspectives on Learning summer conference in Estes Park, Colo., June 28-30. The workshop used memoir as a genre to encourage participants to tell stories illustrating the effects of emotions in their teaching.
Turnwall also facilitated a workshop on college writing at the University of Northern Iowa, helped facilitate an Iowa Writing Project Festival of Writing July 9-13, and arranged a memoir workshop on Northwestern's campus, July 16-20.
