Student Success Specialist

Northwestern College seeks a student success specialist to play a key role in supporting students as they engage Northwestern’s Christian academic community. This position reports to the director of student success and is an integral part of the college’s highly skilled, collaborative Student Success Center. Responsibilities include helping residential and Graduate & Professional Studies (GPS) students who have been referred to the Student Success Center develop academic and life skills that will enable them to thrive as students. The person in this position will also teach one section of NWC100—a course designed to help first-year students develop the skills and strategies needed for academic success—and work with faculty and staff across campus to ensure students are getting the comprehensive support they need.

This position is a full-time, 12-month position with reduced and remote (if desired) hours during the summer.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Prior experience in student success, student services, or academic advising a plus, but not required.
