Director of DeWitt Library
Greta Grond

Thanks to Greta’s technical know-how, creativity and love of history and research, Northwestern’s library has a robust online presence, ever-changing displays and programs, and growing archives.

Research helper
Greta helps students research and find materials for their projects, along with providing citation assistance and answering technical questions. She enjoys fostering an environment where learning occurs.

With her previous experience in website design, Greta made a huge impact on the library’s online presence by making resources more visible and accessible for students. She and her colleagues also keep students informed on library events and news through frequent social media posts.

Student motivator
During finals week, Greta and her team show their support for students by offering snacks and providing stress-relieving activities to motivate students through their studying.

History advocate
Greta, along with other faculty and staff, developed a book on Orange City’s history, including over 240 archival photographs. She also helped create an online open-access journal that showcases the research of Northwestern faculty.
