Six join Board of Trustees

The Northwestern College Board of Trustees welcomed six new members at its fall meeting Sept. 29–30.

The Rev. Stephen Breen, rural Orange City, has been pastor of Middleburg Free Grace Reformed Church since 1995. He earned a Master of Divinity degree at Western Theological Seminary and a bachelor’s degree at Calvin College. He and his wife, Linda, have four children, including three Northwestern graduates: Tim, Dan and Sarah.

Adrie Groeneweg of Orange City is president and founder of Pizza Ranch. A native of Hull, Iowa, he is a member of Living Water Community Church. He and his wife, Marla, have four children, including Spencer, a freshman at Northwestern.

The Rev. Keith Krebs has been senior pastor of Orange City’s American Reformed Church since 2004. He earned a Master of Divinity degree at Western Theological Seminary and a bachelor’s degree at Biola University. He and his wife, Denise, have two daughters, including Katie, a sophomore at Northwestern.

The Rev. Mike Pitsenberger of Dyer, Ind., is Dyer campus lead pastor for Faith Church. He previously served as senior pastor at Christ Memorial Church in Holland, Mich., and also ministered at Reformed churches in South Holland, Ill., and Hospers, Iowa. A graduate of Minnesota’s Concordia College, Pitsenberger earned a Master of Divinity degree from Western Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Gina, a 1989 Northwestern College alumna, have four children, including Janet, a sophomore at Northwestern.

The Rev. Roger Voskuil, director of spiritual care at First Reformed Church in Sioux Center, rejoins the board after serving on two different occasions. He has been appointed board secretary/treasurer. A 1969graduate of Northwestern, he earned a Master of Divinity degree at Western Theological Seminary. He has served five churches in Wisconsin and Iowa, including Alton Reformed. He and his wife, Kathy, are the parents of two daughters, Lori Scholtens and Renae Pottebaum, who are both Northwestern alumnae.

Carl Wynja of Sioux Falls, S.D., is regional president at U.S. Bank in Sioux Falls, where he has worked for 18 years. A 1988 Northwestern College alumnus originally from Sioux Center, he is a member of First Reformed Church, Sioux Falls. He and his wife, Lori, also a 1988 Northwestern College graduate, have three children, including Emma, a Northwestern freshman.
