Global Vision Week to be celebrated

Northwestern College will celebrate Global Vision Week Nov. 16–21. The theme this year is entitled “Our Human Family.”

The week will include different events on each day, including a global fair, multicultural worship and international food being served in the cafeteria. A luncheon for faculty, staff and selected students will take place on Thursday. Dr. Rod Spidahl, associate professor of religion and missiology at Northwestern, will be speaking.

The week will conclude with a coffeehouse on Saturday, Nov. 21, at 6:30 p.m. in The Hub in the Rowenhorst Student Center. Students will perform dances, play instruments and present information about various countries and traditions. The event, sponsored by the International Club, is free of charge and open to the public.

Global Vision Week has been planned by Northwestern’s multicultural interns. One of the organizers, sophomore Christine Roy from Bahrain, says the week is about “making everyone united, going under the surface and identifying ourselves. We are all one human family.”
