Kinsinger speaks at international youth ministry conference

Dr. Mitch Kinsinger, associate professor of religion and Christian education at Northwestern College, presented a paper at the biennial conference of the International Association for the Study of Youth Ministry. The conference was held at Fitzwilliam College in Cambridge, England, Jan. 3–6.

Kinsinger spoke on “‘Discountenancing Vice’ to ‘God-Bearing Life’: Reflections on the Historiography of Youth Ministry.” The presentation was part of the conference’s track on youth ministry education and organization.

Kinsinger, who also presented a paper at the association’s 2007 conference in Cambridge, has been a member of Northwestern’s faculty since 2000. He earned a doctorate in religious studies from the University of Iowa, a Master of Divinity degree from Western Theological Seminary, and a bachelor’s degree from Wheaton College.
