Programming team to compete in world finals
Northwestern College's computer programming team is preparing to compete with 99 other teams in Stockholm, Sweden, at the Association for Computing Machinery International Collegiate Programming Contest April 18–22.

Northwestern will host the Turn Down the Music Tour, featuring Christian musicians Shane & Shane and Matt Maher, with speaker David Nasser, Monday, April 27. The concert begins at 7 p.m. in Christ Chapel.

Students win Peale Scholarships from NWC
Seven incoming freshmen have been selected to receive Norman Vincent Peale Scholarships, which will provide a total of $56,000 over four years and are awarded on the basis of exceptional academic abilities, Christian commitment and leadership skills.

Mike Yankoski, author of "Under the Overpass," will be the keynote speaker for Northwestern's College Leadership Conference on April 17 and 18.

Alumnus recruiting for opportunities in China
James Li, a 1994 Northwestern College alumnus, will visit Orange City March 30 through April 1 to recruit students, educators and other professionals to spend one or two years living and teaching English in China.
