Northwestern College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. Individual programs are accredited by the Iowa Department of Education, the International Accreditation Council for Business Education, the Council on Social Work Education and the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. The nursing program is approved by the Iowa Board of Nursing. Accreditation documents are located in the president's office. 

Northwestern College reserves the right to change academic requirements or policies at the beginning of each term, with proper notification of such changes to be distributed to all students and faculty.
