NWC to offer seamless RN-BSN credit transfer with Iowa Western

Northwestern College has recently signed an articulation agreement with Iowa Western Community College (IWCC), based in Council Bluffs and Clarinda, Iowa, that will allow students graduating with an associate’s degree in nursing to seamlessly complete their BSN online through Northwestern’s Graduate School & Adult Learning.

Northwestern’s online RN to BSN program requires that the last 30 credit hours of the program be taken through NWC. This articulation agreement will allow students from IWCC to transfer in their associate’s degree in nursing towards the completion of a bachelor’s degree in nursing at Northwestern.

“We are so honored to have an articulation agreement with Iowa Western Community College,” says Karie Stamer, RN to BSN program director at Northwestern. “They graduate high-quality nurses, and we look forward to helping these students attain their BSN goals.”

Northwestern’s RN to BSN program allows working nurses to graduate in two years or less by taking just one eight-week course at a time. The program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education and approved by the Iowa Board of Nursing. Applicants must have a valid RN license and meet minimum GPA requirements for full acceptance into the program.
