Visiting Faculty - Economics
Northwestern College invites applications for a full-time, one-year visiting faculty position in the business and economics department, beginning August 2026. We seek a dynamic educator who is passionate about teaching and mentoring undergraduate students.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will teach a range of economics courses, which may include:
- Principles of Macroeconomics
- Principles of Microeconomics
- Intermediate Microeconomics
- Money and Banking
- International Economics
- Advanced Corporate Finance
The teaching load is three courses per semester, along with participation in departmental service.
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in economics or a closely related field
- Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching economics
Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in a relevant field
- Experience in higher education
- Strong commitment to in-person undergraduate teaching and mentoring
