Northwestern students in theatre performanceNorthwestern College’s 2018–19 theatre season begins in September, and the college’s annual Theatre Patrons membership drive is underway. The organization is seeking membership donations by Sept. 17 to support the college’s theatre program and students.

Membership fees range from $65 for an “Actor” membership or $125 for “Actor +1” (two memberships) to “Director” ($250) or “Producer” ($500) memberships.

All Theatre Patrons are recognized in show programs and receive four “Actor” or eight “Actor + 1” pre-paid tickets for the season’s shows. “Director” patrons receive 16 season tickets, and “Producer” members receive 24 pre-paid tickets. Patrons are notified prior to each ticketed show so they can reserve tickets online or contact the box office to reserve their preferred seating. Patrons are also invited to a banquet in March.

This year’s Northwestern College theatre season opens Sept. 28 with the family theatre show “Junie B. Jones is not a Crook,” featuring beloved children’s book character Junie B. Jones. The first half of the season will also include performances of Arthur Miller’s “The Crucible” and one-acts directed by students.

The popular comedy “Noises Off” is on the schedule for spring, as well as the RUSH student dance concert and the annual World Premiere Festival, which will showcase a student-authored full-length play. Details about the full season are available at www.nwciowa.edu/NWCtheatre.
