Set against the backdrop of the 1986 Challenger disaster, author Jane Anderson interweaves fact and fiction and past and present to explore the stories and dreams of the people surrounding the tragedy—before the shuttle “slipped the surly bonds of earth” to “touch the face of God.” Through poetic dialogue and shifting timelines, it reveals how personal and collective experiences of tragedy shape resilience, memory and hope.

Long before Hamilton, another Tony Award-winning musical captured the brave and bold spirit that led to the American experiment. To celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, join John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson and the rest of the Continental Congress as they risk everything in the pursuit of freedom. Filled with wit, romance and high-stakes tension, this inclusive production of 1776 reminds us of the high aspirations of our founding fathers.
