Northwestern College and Scooter's Coffee franchisee sign letter of intent

With the approval of the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees, Northwestern College leadership has signed a letter of intent with a local Scooter’s franchise owner regarding a partial land lease. The franchisee intends to build and operate a Scooter’s Coffee location/kiosk on the southeast part of the campus along Highway 10.

Over the coming months, Northwestern, Scooter’s and the franchise owner will be completing details of the arrangement and working with city, county and state officials to develop an implementation plan. The goal is to open the facility sometime in the fall of 2021.

“Northwestern is excited to be a part of this community growth opportunity with the franchisee,” says President Greg Christy. “This will be a great addition to the campus, benefiting both students and the community.”
