Hispanic Festival to be held on Sept. 20

Northwestern College will host a Hispanic Festival on Saturday, Sept. 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will take place on the campus green (north of Zwemer Hall), and community residents are invited.

In addition to authentic Mexican food, the festival will include Hispanic children’s games and activities from 10 a.m. to noon, storytelling, and performances by a mariachi band and Estrellas de Jalisco, a children’s Mexican folk dancing troupe.

For more information about Saturday’s Hispanic Festival, contact event planner Barbara Turnwall, 712-707-7040 or turnwall@nwciowa.edu. The rain location is the DeWitt Theatre Arts Center.

The festival kicks off Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15–Oct. 15).
