History off campus
Learn out of class through an internship or off-campus study program. Northwestern’s Career Development Center will help you prepare for and find a program that matches your interests and talent. The experience will build your resumé, increase your professional network, and maybe even lead to landing your first job.
Intern in the Reformed Church in America (RCA) archives at New Brunswick Theological Seminary in New Jersey. The program includes taking an archival course at Rutgers University.
American Studies Program (ASP)
Work and learn in Washington, D.C. ASP participants have interned at the Holocaust Museum and for members of Congress. The ASP is offered through the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities (CCCU).
In addition to your internship at a Windy City museum, city government office or other organization, you’ll also take classes on Christian social values and urban culture.
