Matching gifts

On average, Northwestern receives $50,000 from corporate matching gifts each year at no cost to our donors or the college.

More than 800 companies nationwide sponsor matching gift programs to encourage employees to support their favorite charities. Most of these companies match dollar for dollar, while others may triple a donor’s gift.

In addition to matching donations made by employees, some companies match donations made by their retired employees and by the spouses of current, retired or deceased employees.

To find out if your company has a matching gift program, contact the human resources department or check your company’s website. You will need to request a matching gift form from your employer. (Some companies provide an online form that can be filled out and submitted, while others have a form that can be downloaded and printed.) Send the form—completed and signed—with your gift to:

Northwestern College
Advancement Office
101 7th Street SW
Orange City, IA 51041

You will be recognized for the full amount of your gift plus the corporate match. If you have questions about matching gifts or are unsure if your company has a matching gift program, please contact us.
