Kang performs at universities

Dr. Juyeon Kang, assistant professor of music at Northwestern College, recently gave piano performances at two Southern universities.

On Feb. 2-3 she visited Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, Texas. Kang gave a master class and presented a recital.

On Jan. 29 she gave a performance seminar at Lee University in Cleveland, Tenn. She performed pieces from her Joyful Noise CD and her forthcoming Joyful Dances CD, while also sharing how she integrates her Christian faith with her music. In addition, she presented a master class for students.

Kang has taught at Northwestern since 2003. She earned a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in piano performance and literature, a Master of Arts in pedagogy of music theory, and a Master of Music in piano performance and literature, all at Eastman School of Music.
