As part of Homecoming activities, Northwestern College will once again host the Morning on the Green family carnival. The event will take place the morning of Saturday, Oct. 3, from 9:30 to noon. Due to the rain, soggy ground and cold temperatures, the event will be held in the Rowenhorst Student Center gym.
Activities for children of all ages will be available at Morning on the Green.
More than 15 booths will be set up by different student organizations offering fun for children of all ages. Some of the activities will include an inflatable slide, a balloon toss, a petting zoo and face painting. The average cost for the activities is two to three tickets, which may be purchased for 25 cents apiece.
A tent hosted by the Alumni Association will be set up, where tickets for the booths may be purchased. “Gratefully Red” T-shirts, commemorating this year’s Homecoming theme, will also be sold for $5.
A lunch will be offered from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the cafeteria. The cost is $6 for adults; there is no charge for children five and under.
