Northwestern to host Softball Community Night

Kickoff Northwestern College’s Raider Days at Softball Community Night, hosted by the Raider softball players and coaches on Friday, Sept. 27, on the diamonds north of MOC-Floyd Valley High School.

From 3:30 to 7 p.m., community members can meet Raider softball players and enjoy intra-squad innings. At 4:30 p.m., kids are invited to participate in a variety of organized outdoor games and contests. In addition, beginning at 4:30, concessions will be available and attendees can purchase raffle tickets to win a full hog, butchered and cut to order.

From 7 to 9 p.m., participants can aim for the fence during the second annual Home Run Derby. Pitches cost $1 per ball or $10 for a dozen balls. First-, second- and third-place prizes will be awarded to batters who hit it out of the park the most often.
