Agricultural Business
Agricultural Business
As you plan your business career, you want options. You want a degree that’s flexible, enabling you to run the family farm or find success as an ag loan officer. Northwestern’s agricultural business major moves beyond agricultural science to provide a comprehensive business degree with an agricultural lens—preparing you to be a strategic entrepreneur whether you wear Oxfords in an office or boots in a barn.

Why NWC?
Our agricultural business program pairs the business administration major with distinctive agriculture courses. This sets us apart from colleges that offer an agriculture production curriculum with only a few business courses. The agricultural business option provides students with a top-notch liberal arts education that improves communication, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, while also developing ag industry knowledge and connections.
Major course offerings include agricultural technology systems, ethical issues such as livestock production practices and genetically modified crops, and risk management of agricultural production. Related minors include accounting, business administration, economics, entrepreneurship, leadership studies, nonprofit management and project management.
