Transfer students

Students who transfer to Northwestern say our college is exceptionally welcoming and easy to fit into. Regardless of your reason for transferring—whether you’re graduating from a community college or want to find a college that’s a better fit for you—we’ll do everything we can to ensure a smooth transition.

  • On average, between 50 and 60 students transfer to Northwestern each year.
  • We’ll accept a maximum of 62 credits from another institution if you’ve achieved a GPA of at least 2.25 and are in good standing at the college you’re currently attending.
  • If you complete at least your final 30 credits here, you’ll earn a Northwestern College diploma.
