Luke Scholarship
The Luke Scholarship, named for the author of the Gospel of Luke, who was known as a “beloved physician,” is for students with a strong Christian faith and character who intend to major in biology-health sciences and pursue a career as a physician, physician’s assistant, optometrist, dentist, podiatrist or physical therapist. Recipients are selected by members of the NWC biology department.
Scholarship criteria:
- Applicants must be incoming freshmen with strong evidence of Christian faith and character as demonstrated in school, church and/or the community.
- GPA ≥ 3.8 or top 5% of high school class
- Combined ACT math + science score ≥ 56 (or SAT math score ≥ 660)
- Preference will be given to applicants who are pre-med
