Profitable

An accounting class in high school helped draw Jenee to the field. She loved the subject’s practicality and challenge. Northwestern’s strong accounting reputation and Christ-centered education made it an obvious choice for her. She plans to earn a CPA license and obtain a job in which she can combine her passion for agriculture with accounting.

Bullish on Northwestern
I chose Northwestern because of its commitment to integrate faith and learning. I wanted to attend a school that would challenge me both academically and spiritually, and it was obvious during my campus visit that Northwestern would do that. My brother also went to Northwestern, and his great experience influenced my decision to choose NWC as well.

Assets
The professors make the accounting program stand out. Whenever I have a question, whether it’s about an accounting concept or life in general, the professors are always willing to sit down and talk. They truly care about their students and want to see each one succeed. They don’t rush through material for the sake of covering all the topics. Instead, they ask questions along the way and elaborate on difficult topics students don’t fully understand.

Well prepared
I feel well prepared for my future because of the education I received at Northwestern. Not only has Northwestern prepared me for my career, but my education has prepared me to live a meaningful life. During my summer virtual accounting internship with John Deere, I felt ready to execute difficult projects and create relationships remotely. Northwestern challenges students to be flexible and persistent in the midst of difficult times.

Bottom line
I have gained so much more than just an education at Northwestern. I have grown in my faith, cultivated diverse and enduring friendships, and made many great memories. One highlight was traveling to Spain with the Symphonic Band. It was an amazing opportunity to be able to share the gift of music in another culture across the world. I am so grateful God led me to Northwestern—it’s truly an amazing place.
