Northwestern College to host fifth annual Day of Giving

AllNDay logoNorthwestern College will hold its fifth annual Day of Giving on Thursday, Feb. 17. Titled AllNDay, the event is designed to encourage alumni and friends of the college to be “all in” with their support for Northwestern. The event will include an “Eras of Excellence” competition, lunch-hour challenge, and first-time donor drawing.

“AllNDay is all about celebrating and supporting our students,” says Ross Fernstrum, director of annual giving. “Last year our Day of Giving raised more than $200,000 for the Northwestern Fund, which provides annual support for student scholarships, academic programs and services that benefit our entire campus.”

This year, anonymous donors have pledged to match all AllNDay gifts up to a total of $100,000, effectively doubling the amount of each person’s gift. In addition, AllNDay donors may use their gift to vote for one of five “Eras of Excellence”: the 1960s and before, the 1970s, the 1980s, the 1990s, and 2000 to the present. Those who give to the era with the greatest increase in participation compared to last year will win a Northwestern College Bookstore gift certificate.

In addition, there will be multiple prize drawings throughout the day, including the Pizza Ranch Lunch-Hour Challenge, which is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. CST. In that challenge, donors who give $50 or more during those two hours will be entered into a drawing to win one of three $100 Pizza Ranch gift cards. There will also be a prize drawing for first-time donors to Northwestern.

“We love seeing the variety of people who come together to support our students through AllNDay, and it’s encouraging to see many first-time supporters,” says Emma Van Drie, associate director of annual giving.

AllNDay gifts may be made at any time via the Day of Giving website, allnday.nwciowa.edu. Updates on AllNDay giving will be posted on the website throughout the day on Feb. 17.
