Northwestern College to host Christmas event

Northwestern College will host The Reason, a family Christmas experience featuring singers Jeremy Camp and Jamie Grace and speaker Nick Hall, on Friday, Dec. 4, at 7 p.m. in the DeWitt Physical Fitness Center.

The Reason is designed for people of all ages and backgrounds to enjoy Christian music and a gospel message in an accessible way. The evening will include creative videos and an energizing message celebrating Jesus as the reason for the season.

Tickets are available at Northwestern’s Ramaker Center for $12; $8 for Northwestern students, faculty and staff. Tickets can also be purchased at www.thereasonchristmas.com for $15; $12 for groups of four or more; and $45 for a deluxe package that includes a pre-show Q&A with the artists, exclusive tour laminate, and a signed poster.

Jeremy Camp has sold more than four million albums in his 13-year Christian music career. Twice the recipient of the Dove Award for Male Vocalist of the Year, he has also received a GRAMMY nomination and had 36 No. 1 radio hits. He has headlined 18 tours and performed in more than 32 countries. His latest album, “I Will Follow,” was released earlier this year.

Jamie Grace is a 23-year-old singer/songwriter from Atlanta whose debut single, “Hold Me,” featuring TobyMac, was nominated for a GRAMMY. Named the 2012 Dove Award New Artist of the Year, she released her sophomore record, “Ready to Fly,” in 2014.

Nick Hall is the founder and chief communicator for PULSE, a ministry that began at North Dakota State University and has spread to impact more than 30 universities and reach more than a million people a year through events, festivals and conferences. He serves on the executive board for the U.S. Lausanne Committee and the student advisory team for the Billy Graham Association.
