Northwestern College to host annual Church Leaders Conference April 2

Area ministers, youth directors and worship leaders are invited to attend Northwestern College’s annual Church Leaders Conference Tuesday, April 2.

The free event, which begins at 8 a.m. and ends at 1:30 p.m., will feature the Rev. Jonathon Brown, lead pastor of Pillar Church in Holland, Mich. Brown will speak twice and participate in a question-and-answer session with conference participants during a noon luncheon.

Brown joined Pillar’s staff in 2012 after nearly 10 years as the senior pastor of First Reformed Church in Oak Harbor, Wash. Established in 1847 as the first church in Holland, Mich., Pillar is a thriving congregation affiliated with both the Reformed Church in America and the Christian Reformed Church.

Brown has served as a keynote speaker at the Nicaraguan Pastors Conference of the Moravian Church, the Cascades Family Bible Camp, and Hope College, his alma mater. He is pursuing a doctorate at Western Theological Seminary, where he earned a Master of Divinity degree.

Approximately 125 area church leaders representing different denominations are expected to attend Northwestern’s Church Leaders Conference. The reservation deadline is March 22.
