Northwestern to host Preview Days

Northwestern College will host 10 Preview Days this school year to provide high school students with an introduction to the college. Preview Days are open to high school juniors and seniors and their parents, and are an excellent first step for students beginning their college search. The events will be held on Sept. 21, Oct. 5, Oct. 19, Nov. 2, Nov. 12, Dec. 3, Jan. 21, Feb. 25, March 22 and April 12.

Preview Days begin with registration at 8 a.m. and conclude by 3 p.m. Students and their parents have the opportunity to attend chapel, tour the campus, eat lunch in the cafeteria, and experience student and academic life. They will also be able to learn about specific academic programs, financial aid, student services, campus ministries and co-curricular activities. Individual appointments with coaches and professors will be available. Students have the option of staying in a dorm the night before a Preview Day.

“There is no better way to get a feel for a college than by making a campus visit. You need to have facts to make an informed decision about college, but experiencing the campus live and in person is essential,” says Laura De Boer, Northwestern’s campus visit coordinator.

Students who can’t visit on a Preview Day are encouraged to set up an individual visit any weekday. For more information about a personalized campus visit or Preview Days, contact Laura De Boer in the admissions office by calling 800-747-4757 or e-mailing visit@nwciowa.edu.

In addition, the admissions office offers some special interest preview days for select academic departments and athletic teams; see www.nwciowa.edu/visit  for more information.
