Rosbergs to speak on relationships

Gary and Barb Rosberg, radio hosts, marriage conference speakers and award-winning authors, will address the topic of relationships in Northwestern College’s chapel service on Monday, Jan. 17, at 10:05 a.m. and again that evening at 7 in Christ Chapel. The sessions, parts one and two of “Tackling the DTR (Define the Relationship talk),” are free and open to the public.

The Rosbergs, co-founders of America’s Family Coaches international ministry, are brought to campus through the Ronald R. Nelson Scholars and Artists in Residence Program.

Gary and Barb Rosberg have developed over a dozen prominent marriage and family resources and DVD series. Their books include Six Secrets to a Lasting Love (Gold Medallion winner under the title Divorce-Proof Your Marriage) and The Five Love Needs of Men and Women, a Gold Medallion finalist.

The Rosbergs have conducted conferences on marriage and family relationships for over 20 years. Their flagship conferences are entitled “The Great Marriage Experience.” In addition, the Rosbergs have been featured speakers for Focus on the Family, FamilyLife and many other events for several years. Gary has also spoken to hundreds of thousands of men at PromiseKeepers conferences. Since 2006 the Rosbergs have made a special effort to strengthen military families with free marriage resources.

The Rosbergs met at Drake University, where Barb earned a bachelor’s degree and Gary received a doctorate in counseling. Following graduation, he conducted over 25,000 hours of marriage and family counseling. Today, the Rosbergs coach couples and families through their ministry headquartered near Des Moines. They are the parents of two married daughters, including Sarah Wolfswinkel, a member of Northwestern’s class of 2000.
