Viewbook wins national award

Northwestern College’s new admissions viewbook has been selected as a winner in a national competition. “A Deeper View” won a bronze award in the Higher Education Marketing Report’s 25th annual advertising awards contest. The viewbook was recognized in the category for colleges with fewer than 2,000 students.

Northwestern’s publication was honored after being judged by a national panel of higher education marketers, advertising creative directors, marketing and advertising professionals, and the magazine’s editorial board. Over 2,000 entries were submitted.

Higher Education Marketing Report is a monthly magazine covering the marketing strategies and admissions procedures of colleges, universities and schools.

“A Deeper View” was produced by Stamats Inc., one of the nation’s leading higher education marketing and research firms, based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A team of designers, writers and project managers worked with members of Northwestern’s public relations and admissions offices to develop the award-winning publication.

This marks the fourth year in a row for Northwestern’s marketing efforts to be honored by the magazine. Last year Northwestern received a gold award for its admissions DVD. A series of postcards for parents of prospective students, a magazine ad, and a billboard ad were recognized in 2008. In 2007 an admissions publication was honored.
