Jay Wielenga ’82 Senior Advancement Officer

Jay Wielenga has served his alma mater for nearly 30 years, first as its alumni director, then as its director of advancement, and for 15 years, as its vice president for advancement. He currently serves part time as the college's senior advancement officer, continuing to share the Northwestern mission and student stories with NWC's many generous donors. Wielenga played a role in soliciting gifts for such major capital projects as the DeWitt Learning Commons, DeWitt Family Science Center, Vogel Welcome Center, Christy Suites, and Den Hartog Athletic Complex. He also helped donors establish many new endowed and annually funded scholarships.
