Celeste Ryan

Celeste Ryan seeks to advance Northwestern's mission and Vision for Diversity by developing students' academic, social, spiritual and emotional thriving. She creates systems and programs that contribute to student success and equips faculty and staff to pursue intercultural initiatives through community outreach and relationship building. She is an advocate for the needs of students and leads the Bridge Center for Intercultural Development, creating a hospitable environment for students to gather.

With a B.A. in public relations and an M.A. in higher education and student development from Taylor University, Celeste brings a unique blend of experience to her role at Northwestern. She has served in marketing roles at several Christian nonprofit organizations, most recently as the marketing and communications manager at Lakeshore Habitat for Humanity in Holland, Michigan. She is also active in multicultural ministry through her church and has a vision for institution-wide intercultural development. As a former resident director of Stegenga Hall (2016-19), Celeste developed and implemented programs, solutions and resources for residents, building outstanding rapport with college students.
