Professor Lofthus obtained his master’s degree in strategic communications from Liberty University, where he is studying for a doctoral degree in communications. He holds a bachelor’s degree in digital film production and an associate’s degree in arts and sciences. He previously taught courses in communications at Wenatchee Valley College, Grace Christian University and Northeast Community College.

In addition to teaching, he is a freelance video producer and previously worked as the business outreach coordinator for Ferry County, Washington.
