Jamie Schar earned a master’s degree in school leadership from Dordt and holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education (and coaching, reading and instructional strategist I endorsements) from Iowa State University. Her experience in early childhood through secondary education includes roles as a first-grade teacher, special education teacher and teacher leader. Currently the junior varsity volleyball coach at Northwestern, Schar also coached volleyball at the high school level for 14 years. Schar’s academic interests center on using data to personalize learning and promote equity for students in special education.
