After graduating with a bachelor’s in nursing from Northwestern, Chelsea Thurm obtained her R.N. license and spent two years providing perianesthesia care for patients while also training and supervising nursing students as the unit preceptor. Thurm received a Star Performance Nurse Award at Sanford Medical Center in Bismarck, North Dakota, for promoting patient safety. With 780 hours of clinical experience in acute and community health settings, she is enrolled in the University of Mary’s nurse educator program and expects to receive her M.S.N. in May 2027. Thurm’s research interests include the development of emotional intelligence in undergraduate nursing students.
