Before joining Northwestern College's theatre faculty, Tyler Miller taught and served as theatre program director at Fresno Pacific University. He also previously taught at the University of Illinois. He has extensive experience as an actor, composer, playwright and fight choreographer. His one-man acoustic musical, The Adam Bomb, debuted in 2019 and followed a modern-day Adam and Eve (and a guy named Tim) as they tried to find their way through the post-Eden world while dealing with the death of Abel at the hands of Cain.

Miller earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in theatre with an emphasis in musical theatre from Cornish College of the Arts. He has a Master of Fine Arts degree in acting from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
