Morning on the Green set for Sept. 27

Northwestern College will once again be hosting Morning on the Green as part of Homecoming festivities. The event is set for Saturday, Sept. 27, and will run from 9:30 a.m. to noon.

Homecoming’s theme this year is “All Country Roads Lead Home.” Some of the Morning on the Green activities will include an inflatable slide, a petting zoo and an antique tractor show.

Booths will be set up by student organizations to raise money for each group. Some of the activities the booths will offer include balloon animals, a “fishing” tank and face painting. The average cost of activities is two to three tickets. Tickets may be purchased for 25 cents apiece. Each booth will be judged for the possibility of winning a prize in one of three categories: most creative, kids’ favorite or best representation of theme.

Lisa Laird will present a puppet show in Christ Chapel entitled “Pockets Full of Fun.” The 20-minute performance is free and will be presented at 10 and 11 a.m.

The Alumni Association will host a hospitality tent. Alumni can update their information there and receive a free gift in appreciation. They will be selling coffee, popcorn and breakfast items.
