Josh Van Es Assistant Director
A Northwestern College graduate with majors in business administration/finance and marketing, Josh Van Es serves as program coordinator for the Center for Innovation & Leadership’s Accelerate Siouxland program. He purchased Orange City’s Ben Franklin-Crafts Central store in 2020 following an 11-year management career with Walmart. As store manager in Sioux Center and Storm Lake, Iowa, Van Es drove financial performance, provided supervision and development opportunities for more than 200 employees, oversaw regulatory compliance inspections, and helped supervise a store remodel.
A four-year letter winner on Northwestern’s basketball team, Van Es received the Red Raider Club’s 2018 Barnabas Award for encouraging others to strive for their best performance athletically, academically and personally, and using sports as a way to bring others to a knowledge of Jesus Christ. Van Es now coaches his kids’ sports teams and serves as a deacon at his church.
