Chris Tuey directs Northwestern's Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies program and is licensed as a physician assistant in Iowa and board-certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). He earned a bachelor's degree in physician assistant studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and a master's in physician assistant studies (MPAS) from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. He worked as a PA at Rocky Mountain MS Center, Texas Tech Health Sciences Center and Kaiser Permanente Health Care. He also earned a master's degree in computer information systems at the University of Denver and has experience as a software development engineer, information technology manager, and English teacher in China. He began his healthcare career as a nurse in the burn unit.
