Director of Athletic Development
Northwestern College is seeking an individual to contribute to its fundraising efforts. This person works to support the college’s mission through achieving fundraising objectives by implementing the following strategies:
- Communicate directly with constituents, through personal visits but also through various other means to build relationships to invite immediate or future financial support
- Provide fundraising leadership for the Raider Athletic Association and other general fundraising needs of the college.
- Serve as a general ambassador and representative of Northwestern College. Some travel, occasional evenings and weekends are required.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, with preference given to individuals with an interest in college athletics and in inviting financial support. A background in communications, marketing, sales, public relations and/or data analytics is a plus. This person should be organized, have good technology skills, be able to speak and write effectively, be able to enthusiastically meet new people from across the generations, listen well, be self-aware of strengths and weaknesses, be compelled to take action independently, and have a collaborative work style.
