NED Talk, Rahn Franklin, Director of Multicultural Student Development
Within the context of Northwestern's Vision for Diversity, Rahn Franklin leads the college's student diversity initiatives. He provides support, guidance and advocacy for diverse students and collaborates with professors and staff to develop curricular and co-curricular programs that encourage the development of cultural intelligence among all campus community members. He also coordinates the Bridge Scholars program to develop student leaders from diverse backgrounds. Originally from Kansas City, Rahn came to Northwestern from Buena Vista University, where he was a residence hall director and assistant director of student activities. He has a master's degree in school counseling and a bachelor's degree in exercise science, both from Buena Vista.
