Doug Maury spent 13 years at his alma mater, Bethel College in Kansas, most recently as the chair of its health and physical education department and director of the athletic training program. Prior to that, he was the head athletic trainer, an instructor, and the intramural director for Hesston College in Hesston, Kan. He is a nationally Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC), an Iowa Licensed Athletic Trainer (LAT), a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), and a clinical instructor educator through the National Athletic Trainers' Association.
Maury has a doctorate in athletic training from A.T. Still University, a Master of Education in sport administration from Wichita State University, a bachelor's degree in health management from Bethel and an associate's degree from Hesston.
