Touring theatre
Northwestern College theatre has toured the U.S. during spring break for over 30 years, performing original dramas like The Pottery Class, about homelessness and God’s will; Rebecca’s Story, about drug addiction and relationships; When Scott Comes Home, about loving people with AIDS; and September Bears, about hope after 9/11. Since 2000, a company has also toured nationally for eight to 10 weeks in the summer, performing at churches, schools, youth camps and community theatres. Recent touring teams have performed off-Broadway in New York and at the Crystal Cathedral near Los Angeles. In 2007, the company performed for the first time overseas, presenting ancient Israelite dramas from the Old Testament in Japanese churches and schools.
