Technology at NWC

At Northwestern, we recognize how important technology is to the learning process and have committed the resources to provide the support you need. Each building is fully networked, and we provide a separate network connection for every student in the residence halls. Now we’re adding more and more of our campus to our wireless network.

As a student at Northwestern, you’ll have free access to e-mail, network space and the Internet. You’ll also have the choice of bringing your own computer to college or using the computers and printers available in the many computer labs located across campus. Most of our classrooms are equipped with Internet access, computers and projectors, and portable equipment carts are available for those that aren’t.

Northwestern’s computing services department helps students, faculty and staff use technology to learn, teach and do their jobs. A staff of eight supports the academic and administrative needs of the college, maintaining more than 500 computers and 70 networked printers owned by NWC, providing technical support, supplying computing resources for the campus, and assisting members of the college community in making the most efficient use of those resources.
