Requirements for semester study abroad programs
Applicants for semester-long study abroad programs must pass Northwestern’s writing requirement, demonstrate they would benefit from the experience, have a strong academic record, and be a good representative of Northwestern’s Christian liberal arts mission.
For most of the programs, you must be at least a sophomore with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.5. The Council for Christian Colleges & Universities (CCCU) programs are for juniors or seniors who have at least a 2.75 GPA.
Application materials for all semester study abroad programs—both fall and spring—must be submitted to Northwestern’s Career Development Center by the preceding Feb. 10.
