Criminal justice career concentration
Interested in criminal justice? Northwestern’s criminal justice career concentration, which includes a one-semester internship, helps prepare students for careers in law enforcement, probation, parole, community-based treatment, counseling, rehabilitation, corrections (prisons, reformatories, detention centers, correctional centers) and many other areas.
In addition, Northwestern’s distinctive program requires criminal justice professionals to be broadly educated within the liberal arts by declaring a sociology or other major. As a result, you’ll be ready not only for your first criminal justice job—but also for the career climbing that’s available to professionals who have been educated to think critically and communicate clearly.
