CAMP DIRECTORS

Eve Petekavich ’02 is the program director at Presbyterian Camp on Okoboji in Iowa.

CHAPLAINS

Brent Mulder ’05 graduated from Princeton Theological Seminary and is doing a year of clinical pastoral education (CPE) in a hospital chaplaincy in Philadelphia.

The Rev. B.J. Van Kalsbeek ’99 graduated with an M.Div. degree from Western Theological Seminary and is a chaplain at Mercy Medical Center, Sioux City, Iowa.

COUNSELORS

Jennifer Van Beest ’00 worked for two years as a youth director at Good News Reformed Church in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, before earning a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy from North American Baptist Seminary. She now works in Redwood Falls, Minnesota, doing home-based counseling for at-risk youth and their families.

MISSIONARIES

Ben Pitzen ’06 is doing community work with Americorp in Chicago.

Kara ’05 and Aaron Willems ’05 are missionaries with Wycliffe Bible Translators. They completed a short-term assignment in Bangladesh during the summer of 2006. In August 2007, they plan to move to Papua New Guinea.

Deseree Angyal ’04 taught at a Christian school—Escuela Juan Calvino—in Choluteca, Honduras.

Jon Behrends ’04 is a Christian Outreach International missionary in the Czech Republic.

PASTORS

The Rev. Jamie Dykstra ’05 earned an M.Div. from Western Theological Seminary and is pastor of Delaware Reformed Church in Lennox, South Dakota.

The Rev. Chris Jacobsen ’05 graduated with an M.Div. from New Brunswick Theological Seminary and is pastor of the Reformed Church of Freehold, New Jersey.

The Rev. Josh Van Leeuwen ’03 earned an M.Div. from Western Theological Seminary and is pastor of North Holland Reformed Church in Michigan.

The Rev. Tim Breen ’02 earned an M.Div. from Western Theological Seminary and is pastor of Sunrise Ministries in Hudsonville, Michigan.

The Rev. Justin Halbersma '02 earned an M.Div. from Duke Divinity School and now pastors Chatfield (Minnesota) United Methodist Church.

The Rev. Nathan Martin ’01 earned an M.Div. from Gordon-Conwell. He is pastor of the Salem (Iowa) Friends Church.

The Rev. Liz Moss ’99 is an associate pastor at American Reformed Church in Orange City after earning a Master of Divinity degree from Western Theological Seminary.

SEMINARY STUDENTS

Lindsey De Kruif ’08 received a $5,000 Congregational Fellowship from the Fund for Theological Education (FTE) and is a student at Western Theological Seminary in Holland, Mich. Also students at Western are Brett Vander Berg ’08, Bethany Popkes ’08 and Sara Palsma ’08.

Tessa Rosier ’07 is a theological student at Free University (Vrije Universiteit) in Amsterdam.

Mike Brunner ’06 is a student at Bethel Theological Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Rosalyn De Haan ’06 and Elizabeth Kingsley ’06 are in the Master of Divinity program at Western Theological Seminary, Michigan.

Brent Mulder ’05 is enrolled at Princeton Theological Seminary.

YOUTH MINISTERS

Ben Vos ’08 is youth pastor at Shannon Oaks Church in Sulphur Springs, Texas.

Jim Ellis ’07 is the middle school youth director at Sunnybrook Community Church in Sioux City, Iowa.

Tyler Parson ’07 is pastor of student family discipleship at Christ Community Church in Sioux Center, Iowa.

Megan Van Peursem ’07 is director of Christian education and youth ministry at Trinity Reformed Church in Waupon, Wisconsin.

Chad De Jager ’05 is the youth minister at Thornapple Community Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Stephanie ’03 and Nathan Huisman ’02 are associate pastors at Bismarck (N.D.) Community Church. Stephanie oversees the children's ministry, and Nathan is working with youth.

Chuck Mullikin ’03 is pastor of youth and their families at New Hope Evangelical Free Church in Orange City.
